For further details please have a look at our services section on this website. Emergency AppointmentsOur Patients who have a genuine urgent emergency will be given priority. If you have such an emergency please advise reception staff of the nature of this emergency to enable medical staff to triage efficiently. As we are a practice that accommodate emergencies, at times this can result in your appointment being delayed. We apologise for this but these delays are unavoidable . We thank you for your understanding . GP ServicesThe GP surgery operates an appointment only service. Please see the section on surgery times for details. If you would like to make an appointment, please call our main reception on 01 8406423. Our aim is always to see our patients as punctually as possible but delays are sometimes unavoidable. If your problem is urgent, let us know. All other services available at Boroimhe Medical Centre are on an appointment basis. Please see details of times and contact numbers. Telephone CallsIf you ring to speak with one of the doctors, please remember that the doctor may be in consultation with another patient. If the doctor is unavailable to take your call, our receptionist will arrange for you to be called back, usually at the end of surgery. If your call is urgent, please let us know and we will prioritise your call. Repeat PrescriptionsFrom the 1st May 2010 all requests for regular medication must be given in writing and must contain the correct name of the medication, the strength and the frequency.3/6 monthly prescription requests must be allowed 7 working days for completion. If you are requesting medication that is not something that you take on a regular basis you must make an appointment to see a Doctor for this. Prescription request forms can be obtained from reception or downloaded here.Request for Doctors SignaturesIf you need any forms signed by the doctors, please leave at reception for collection the following day. Passport FormsIf you wish for your passport application form to be signed by a GP , you must be present at the signing. This is relevant for children also. |
